Mr. Chu has practiced construction law throughout his professional career. His practice includes advising clients regarding the planning of construction projects; the preparation and negotiation of construction and design professional agreements; and the litigation of construction claims, including those relating to building defects, cost overruns, delay, disruption, acceleration and other impact claims. He has experience litigating jury trials, arbitrations, mediations and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Additionally, Mr. Chu has extensive experience with major public works that have occurred in the Bay Area, including projects relating to seismic retrofits, transit facilities, wastewater treatment plants, schools, universities and hospitals. Among the wide range of public construction projects in which he has been involved are the San Francisco Cable Car Renovation Project, the San Jose Transit Mall, the Santa Rita Jail, the Carmel Sanitary District Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility, the University of California-Irvine, Residence Halls, the Oceanside Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the San Francisco International Airport.

Mr. Chu is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern District of California.
